The University of Mysore, Mysore has been identified by the UGC, New Delhi as a
Nodal agency to conduct Karnataka State Eligibility Test for Lecturership (SET)
during the year 2011. The following 26 subjects have been approved by the UGC to
conduct SET examination.

SET exam goes strictly in lines of UGC-NET. Therefore, there is no specialization as such. You have to study all aspects of Social Work. This applies to all other subjects of SET/UGC-NET.

Hi Khaleel,
If the university/institution in which you have studied MBA is recognized by the UGC, then you may take up UGC-NET or SET. And, I’m not competent enough to comment about PhD from Dravidian University.

I have completed my Msc(IT) from KSOU with B grade… We are not provided with marks instead we are given grades for every subject and finally cumulative grade once again… Since online application asks for marks and total marks, what do we do? Are we eligible for set?

The SET exam is the eligibility criteria for appointment as teacher in colleges and universities in the State. UGC-NET has national scope, whereas SET has scope only in the concerned State.

As long as you satisfy the minimum score requirements of KSET, you are eligible for the exam. Regular or Distance mode doesn’t make any difference.

When we can expect the results of SET exams conducted by Mysore University in October 2011
I think the results will be out in febraury, any net or slet exam the time taken is not less than 3 to 4 months for publishing the results.Even i checked with university authorities they told the result is expected in february. Thanks and all the best

Just heard/called up and got the information from the university authorities that the result will be declared on April 6th. Have to wat and see as the results are dragging from first week of february till date.

Hi Deepak i dont think government job will be given straight away after passing SLET, you have to watch out for notifications after that reservation interview process Phd etc will come into pic..even i cleared slet and have the same doubt.By the way whats ur subject.
